Bio

Ariana LoBrutto is a composer and multi-instrumentalist who writes and records music to picture and interactively for video games. She enjoys writing music for many different styles in order to fit the atmosphere of each project, and focuses on using compelling melodies to tell an emotional and unique story.

Her education at Berklee College of Music has given her the opportunity to intently study all aspects of the game and film industries. Her studies have had a heavy focus on writing music to fit the drama and atmosphere of a given narrative. She has in-depth experience with neatly orchestrating scores and parts in classical and traditional film scoring styles, conducting and recording musicians in a live studio setting, sequencing midi instruments using sample libraries to accurately replicate an orchestral sound, and using digital audio workstations such as Cubase, Pro Tools, and Logic Pro. She is also very familiar with using game engines like Unity, and audio middle-ware programs such as Wwise and Fmod to effectively implement her ideas.

While a composer first and foremost, LoBrutto is also very familiar with playing trombone and bass guitar in live band and recording settings, such as on a scoring stage. She is also comfortable on guitar and piano when writing and recording and is not restricted by genre in this dimension either. She finds herself playing in styles such as classical, jazz, and rock, amongst many others. She often utilizes these instruments in the music she composes to easily add a live sound to a cue.
